Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our property risk assessments and climate outlook reports.

What data sources do you use?
Atlas United aggregates 11 federal data sources including NOAA NCEI Storm Events, FEMA flood zones and disaster declarations, USDA soil surveys, USGS elevation data, and more. For climate projections, we use USGS CMIP6-LOCA2 data with 27 global climate models.
How current is your data?
Data freshness varies by source. Storm events are updated daily, flood zones weekly, and drought conditions weekly. Our property risk assessments include 22 years of historical data to provide comprehensive coverage.
What's the difference between Risk Assessment and Climate Outlook?
Property Risk Assessment analyzes historical hazard exposure for a specific address - what has happened at this property. Climate Outlook provides county-level projections through 2100 - what's coming for this region. One looks back, one looks forward.
Can I use your reports for FEMA grant applications?
Yes. Our Climate Outlook reports are specifically designed to support FEMA BRIC and HMGP grant applications. All data sources are federal, auditable, and include proper citations for grant documentation.
How do I get pricing?
Contact us with your project scope and we'll provide a custom quote within 1 business day. Pricing varies based on volume and whether you need single-property assessments or county-level climate reports.
What format are reports delivered in?
Reports are delivered as professionally formatted PDF documents with full citations, charts, and data tables. Climate Outlook reports can be up to 70 pages depending on the variables selected.
Do you cover all 50 states?
Yes. Our Property Risk Assessment covers all 50 states with 140M+ addresses. Climate Outlook covers all 3,143 U.S. counties with projections through 2100.
