BuildCast
Weather decisions for the job site. Lot by lot.
Construction-grade insight, weather-aware.
I · What it is
A verdict for each lot, for each trade.
BuildCast turns federal weather model output into a go, caution or no-go call for the work scheduled at each of your lots. A weather app tells you the chance of rain in town. BuildCast tells a foreman whether Friday works for the slab pour at one specific lot, and why. The forecast is read at the lot’s own latitude and longitude, not a zip code.
II · The four verdicts
How BuildCast decides go or no-go.
- Go · ClearAll thresholds met. Crews dispatch as scheduled.
- Caution · AdjustMargin of safety. Modify timing, sequence or staffing.
- No-go · HoldOne or more hard limits exceeded. Stand down.
- Severe · Secure siteLightning, storm or extreme wind. Lock down.
III · Trade by trade
Slab pours fail at different rain than paint does.
Foundation, framing, dry-in, drywall, exterior paint, flooring and sod are each scored against their own thresholds: rain, dewpoint, wind, soil moisture, surface temperature and lightning. The same hour can be a go for one trade and a no-go for another at the same lot.
IV · What drives the score
Live conditions, read at every lot.
- Short-range updatesHourly refresh for short-window decisions.
- 10-day outlookThe longer window for planning ahead.
- Live radarRain nowcast for the next few hours.
- Lightning detectionStrike alerts behind the lightning geofence at each active lot.
- Severe warningsWarnings that move a lot to the severe state.
- Soil and temperatureUsed for sod and foundation feasibility.
No third-party brokers in the chain. A 22-year climate baseline calibrated at every lot. Coverage: 50 states and Puerto Rico. Patent-pending.
